Adour 861a as removed from the aircraft(or the back of your van having just bought it), and installed it into the transport stand

Following various tasks such as inspection, draining and work scope decisions the engine has its P1 probe disconnected and the air intake adapter fairing removed as can be seen in these pictures

Once the engine has had its spinner removed to expose the module one
rotor securing bolts and the anti icing extension tube, the engine is transfered into a stand that enables it to winched
into the vertical position
The tooling to enable the lifting ofthe module one rotor and casing together without the seal being damaged is then bolted into position on the module one outer air casing

With the anti icing tubes extracted, the fan shaft bolts and air casing boltsare removed allowing the module one to be removed and place on its own trolley. The module one comprises the first and second stage fan rotors, the first stage fan outlet guide vanes and the outer air casing
