The module one can be seen here with the outer air casing removed

The module one includes both first and second stage fan
rotors, first stage fan outlet
guide vanes, and the outer
air casing

Left, module two removed from
the engine.This is the second
stage fan outlet guide vane
and straightener vane pack
(Two tandem rows of stators closely spaced)

Right, a view into the HP compressor intake and snout
of the bypass duct with the modules one and two removed. In this picture the aft bypass
duct has also been removed

The engine then has a dummy module one (fan) outer air casing installed. It is then winched into the vertical
position and placed and clamped onto a "pot" which is bolted to the floor. On the Adour, the accessory gearbox,
oil tank, engine dressing etc is all removable in one go as a single unit refered to as the pack. In the above pictures
you can see the engine undressed with its dummy module one case installed and clamped verticaly to its pot on the
left. The pack in its removal and servicing frame can be seen on the right.

The first item to be removed following
the pack and various pipes, the bleed
valve, trunions, rear bearing vent tube etc
is the exhaust mixer unit which can be
seen on the left, installed and on the
right sat on the bench
